When you send a report
When you file a report, your name and phone number (and email, if given) are stored in an encrypted form, separate from the report itself. Only staff investigating reports, and the administrators who supervise them, can see them. They are never shown publicly, never written to logs and never indexed for search.
How long it is kept
Your contact details are kept only for as long as the report is being handled. The exact retention period has not been set yet and will be published here. The report's tracking page shows its status and date only, because a tracking code may travel by SMS.
Preventing abuse
To limit abuse, the site keeps a one-way hash of the phone number and network address used to submit a report. A hash cannot be turned back into the original value.
Performers' locations
Living performers are shown on the map no more precisely than their union unless they have consented to an exact location. A performer's own contact details are stored only when the performer agreed.
